The Harmony Alliance warmly welcomes the Hon Kelly O’Dwyer MP who was recently announced as the new Minister for Women, the Hon Dan Mehan MP as the new Minister for Social Services and the Hon Alan Tudge MP as the new Assistant Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs.
The Alliance enjoys a positive working relationship with the Office for Women and the Department of Social Services, and looks forward to continuing these under new leadership, as well as building collaboration with the new Department of Home Affairs.
The Harmony Alliance reiterates its commitment to providing a platform for women of migrant and refugee backgrounds to have their voices heard in decision-making processes. We look forward to working with new Ministers to improve settlement outcomes for newly arrived Australians and to strengthen our multicultural society.
We would also like to thank Minister Cash for her support as the Minister for Women, Assistant Minister Seselja for his work as the Assistant Minister for Social Services and Multicultural Affairs and Attorney-General Porter for his work as Social Services Minister. We were honoured to have Minister Cash personally launch the Harmony Alliance in October 2017 in Adelaide. We wish them all the best in their new roles as Minister for Jobs and Innovation, Assistant Minister for Science, Jobs and Innovation and Attorney-General respectively.
